PADI IDC Staff Instructor

Duration: 2 days plus one whole IDC

This course consists of two parts:

The actual IDC Staff course is two days. Here you will learn how to evaluate instructor candidates on their academic, confined water, and open water presentations. You will be evaluated by the Course Director in the following areas:

- 5 Theory Exams (80% pass)
- Standards & Procedures exam (80% pass)
- Academic Teaching Presentation (4.0 pass)
- Confined Water presentation (4.0 pass)
- Skill Circuit (4.0 pass on each skill)

As there is no exam for the Staff course, it is now easy to relax and enjoy the IDC.
The curriculum and the first two days involve: Course Orientation, IDC Standards & Curriculum, How to Conduct the Assistant Instructor course, and the Psychology of Evaluation & Counseling the IDC Candidates.

The second part of the IDC Staff course is the audition of an entire IDC.

As IDC Staff Instructor you will work together with Course Directors as an important team, conducting Instructor Development Courses and staffing on Instructor Continued Education courses. You can also teach the Assistant Instructor course based on the IDC curriculum, a responsibility only IDC Staff Instructors and Course Directors share.

- Renewed PADI Instructor in Teaching Status
- Hold Master Scuba Diver Trainer Rating
